Rotem Codish is an Israeli illustrator, visual storyteller, and multidisciplinary designer based in Israel.
Her practice combines traditional illustration with new technologies to tell emotionally driven stories that connect personal experience with broader social realities.
She creates original projects and works with a wide range of clients — from cultural institutions and public organizations to independent publishers and tech companies.
Her graphic memoir On Two Fronts, created during her husband’s military reserve service, has resonated deeply with audiences, accompanied by lectures, exhibitions, and workshops.
Illustration & Narrative
I develop and produce illustrated narrative using a mix of traditional, digital, and AI-based techniques.
I work at the intersection of personal and collective experience, using illustration to tell stories that are emotionally honest and visually expressive. My work explores relationships, trauma, memory, and the quiet complexity of everyday life.
My graphic memoir ״On Two Fronts״, created during my husband’s military reserve service, offers an intimate look at life during wartime and has become a platform for public conversations about love, anxiety, resilience, and the invisible weight of conflict on relationships.

Visual Exploration & Workshops
My work often extends beyond the static image into animation, motion, and experimental formats. I explore how illustrated scenes can move, shift, and evolve — using new technologies as tools to expand the narrative and emotional depth of the image.
I'm drawn to the space where traditional techniques meet emerging tools — where hand-drawn lines can become animated gestures, and still moments are reimagined as living, breathing scenes.
I also share these explorations in lectures and workshops, guiding others through creative processes that combine illustration, motion, and personal storytelling. Recent sessions have been held at Shenkar College, Meta Israel, and other creative and academic platforms.
Commissioned Work
I work with companies, organizations, and institutions on a wide range of commissioned projects — from cultural and educational work to commercial content and branded storytelling.
This includes developing a brand's visual voice, creating original illustrations and animations, designing content for social media, and building strong visual narratives that connect emotionally with their audiences.
